Unless your child is very young, Joseph will work on location, at your home or at your child's favorite place! Children are more likely to be themselves in a place in which they feel familiar, or when they are involved in an activity they enjoy. There is never an additional charge for this. Younger babies can be photographed at your home, or in his studio in Morningside. Joseph is also available to document the amazing birth of your infant, freeing Dad to enjoy the moment without having to worry about getting the shot!
Location sessions begin at $199.00, and usually last 30 minutes to an hour and a half, depending on the child. Studio sessions for babies are $175.00, and last as long as it takes to make a portrait of your child. Joseph normally shoots about 5 rolls of black and white film for each session, and clients' proofing galleries generally contain 35-50 images per session. There is no charge for rescheduling a session due to weather, a melt-down, or an unfortunate bump on the nose! Finally, all of Joseph's sessions come with a guarantee. If you are not happy with the images from your session, he will arrange another session for your child at half price! He wants you to be thrilled with your images, and won't stop until you are!
Proofs will be available for viewing and ordering online within two weeks of your session. Orders may be placed online, or you may choose to meet with Joseph and get the artist's ideas on cropping, framing and grouping photos. Each Gallery photo is hand printed by Joseph on fiber base photographic paper, and affords him an opportunity to refine and adjust the final image until it is a work of art that you will be thrilled to hang on your wall! If retouching is desired, a high resolution scan of the negative is made, and Joseph works in his cutting-edge virtual darkroom to produce an archival print that rivals the quality of his Gallery prints!
Joseph also offers RC prints, images that are hand printed by a custom lab on standard photographic paper. Each of these prints is also individually enhanced by Joseph before printing, and are archival. This is a great option for clients who would like prints to share with family and friends.
